unlocking bootloader

Want to unlock the bootloader on this Galaxy SM-A205U. Ahhhmmmm.....been a LOT of debate in various "help forums" about the feasibility of doing so on this model.(???). I did request Samsung send me the code(s)....we'll see where that gets me. Can anyone help me out? This is a Galaxy SM-A205U--Android 10. If I cannot get code(s); if unlock is not possible, is there a way I could "wipe" the phone (and B/l) and install an O.S. of my choice? Any help/advice/links/discussion would be appreciated.
