I got my E715 in January and a few months ago i started noticing lines across my screen. They're kind of faint but still noticeable. I have about 10 friends who have this phone and are getting the lines too. Anyone know what this is and why it's happening?

oh, i also forgot to mention that one morning after waking up, i flipped my phone open to check for missed calls and the colors on the screen appeared to be faded. like someone had turned the "brightness" all the way up and the screen was a little hard to see. It just happened to my uncle's E715 the other day too.

Wire problem Maybe?
maybe the E715 has a loose wire to the screen. That may cause the picture problem.

I hate to be the harbringer of bad news but that is a very common glitch
with the E715. When I first signed up with TMobile, they gave me the
R225 for free...A few months later I stopped in to get a new headset and
the guy showed me the E715 (just came out). I was bedazzled, bought it
and showed it off to all my friends. My girlfriend renewed her contract and
got herself an E715 also..9 months after I got mine the scanlines/screen fading started happening and much to my dismay the vendor informed me
that he has started getting a lot of complaints about this. My girlfriend's started doing it too but hers was still under warranty so she sent it back
to TMobile and got a replacement. Sure enough, 4 months later it started
happening again. From what I've been reading it makes no difference what
firmware version you have as people have flashed their phones to no avail.
The irony of it all is that I paid good money for this phone and treat it like
gold whereas the free phone they gave me which I neglect/abuse works flawlessly!

Most of the time, especialy with t-mobile, if there is a known issue as is such with your phone, they will overlook the warranty, give them a call and see what they can do if they can't help call samsung. You'd be surprised what a little complaining (if done the right way) will get you . P.S. Feel free to mention to sdamsung that your a loyal samsung buyer and this may change the way you look at buying their phones. Good luck!

What's the point? They'll just send me a new E715 which will have a nice screen for a little while then start fading again. As I said before this is a very common
problem..I would have it replace if I knew I would get one they solved the screen fading problem.
