Anybody know good tips/hacks for the new SAMSUNG KILLER INSTINCT?

I only found 1. Video format is 3gp2 (default), now, when you convert any dvd/video clip etc to 3gp2, it looks CRAPPY on the phone, really crappy.
The phone had to support other format too for a better quality, I googled a bit and found that it supports MPEG4, So when you want to convert dvd/video clips etc..to view on your INSTINCT, use MPEG4 for GREAT QUALITY. Remember..you'll find the mpeg4 videos on TV/Video>My Videos>Camcorder.
3gp2 videos it saves them on the MY FOTOS folder.

    It does play MP4,3GP -
It looks "Really Good" if you convert your DVD's or Videos files to one of those formats. It is so much better then any of the streaming services quility.
    (Mobi.tv)

It also supports up to a 32 gb mircoSD card - when available = A Lot of Video's
The biggest card you can get is a 8gb right now.
I'll post anything else i find out / I have only had mine for a few hours.

It is just a rumor, but I heard that Sprint might do an update to make the instinct have direct connect. It has the ability because of the speech to action button

Yes, on my old treo755, when I used THIS uploader to load rigntones on the phone, it would save them as voice memos, and I had to send it over to the ringtones folder, the quality of the ringtone changed, it was too crappy.
Using the same uploader to upload ringtones on the INSTINCT (mp3 format), it send them straight to the RINGTONES, and it remaind with its excellent quality. . cause buying ringtones, is a thing from the past

I was wondering how to add ringtones to this phone. So we are saying there is a "ringtones" folder on the microSD card? And you have to save them as voice memo's?

I know this is probably old but you can go to myxer.com on your computer, there are a lot of tones for free, once there pic what you want. Then on your web browser go to wap.myxer.com, sign in, and go to recent downloads and click on that and it will automatically download the song to your phone...

    hi!
There's no ringtones folder created by the instinct!
and no! if you save a mp3 file as a voice memo, you never going to set it as a ringtone
    BUT!! there's another way!
im going to post in the next hour the instructions step by step to add ringtones from your library and games!!!

Disclaimer: By attempting to follow this tutorial, you agree that you alone will
be responsible for any damage that you may do to your phone and/or pc.

    ok now!!!
    Let's begin!

Step by step: how to add mp3 files as ringtones and how to add games to the
    Samsung Instinct (m800)

    General Requirements

     Your mobile phone (of course)
USB data cable for your phone
     BitPim
Samsung Mobile USB Driver 4.40.7.0 v1.6
MP3 ringtone, or JAR file and JAD file for an app or a game
     PrepTool v1.2
Ensure that file extensions are viewable. To do this, open Control Panel->Folder
Options, select the View tab, and ensure that Hide extensions for known file types
    under Advanced settings is unchecked.

    Driver Installation
You need to perform these steps only once.
    * Run setup.exe from the Samsung Mobile USB Driver 4.40.7.0 v1.6
    * Connect your phone to your computer using the USB data cable and wait until Windows finishes installing your phone's USB driver.

    Procedure
Do not turn on Connect to PC on your phone.
1 Connect your phone to your computer with the USB data cable and start BitPim. Select
Edit->Detect Phone and click OK when your phone is found.

2 Make sure View->View Filesystem is checked, then select Filesystem in the left menu and navigate to /brew/mod/obigo/jas/index.

3 From the contents of /brew/mod/obigo/jas/index, take note of the highest numbered txt
file and add 1 to the number. We will call the result the index, which we will use in step
    7. (if the highest # is 9 index got to be 10.)

4 Start PrepTool v1.2 but do not close BitPim. In PrepTool, ensure that the first three fields
    are set appropriately.

5 If you are uploading a ringtone, click Browse..., navigate to the folder that contains your
MP3 ringtone, select your MP3 ringtone, then click Open. If you are uploading an app or
a game, click Browse..., navigate to the folder that contains your app or game, select the
JAR file and JAD file (press and hold Ctrl to select multiple files), then click Open.

6 PrepTool automatically suggests a display name, which is what will appear on your phone as the name of your ringtone, app, or game. You can change this field to whatever you want.

7 Set the index to the value that was determined in step 3.

8 Click Browse..., select an output folder for the files that you will be uploading to your
    phone, then click OK.

9 Click Create files! If you have done everything correctly, you will see a message box that
    indicates success. Click OK.

10 Open the output folder and bring BitPim back into view. Arrange the two windows such
that the files in the output folder and the contents of /brew/mod/obigo/jas/index in BitPim
are both visible. Drag-and-drop the index.txt file (e.g. 10.txt) from the output folder into
the contents area of /brew/mod/obigo/jas/index in BitPim. Once the transfer completes,
you will see the index.txt file in the contents of /brew/mod/obigo/jas/index.

11 Navigate to /mmc1/jas/content in BitPim

12 If you are uploading a ringtone, drag-and-drop the index.dd file (or index.gcd file for Bell) and index.gc file (e.g. 10.dd and 10.gc) from the output folder into the contents area of /mmc1/jas/content in BitPim. If you are uploading an app or a game, drag-and-drop the
index.jar file and index.jad file (e.g. 10.jar and 10.jad) from the output folder into the
contents area of /mmc1/jas/content in BitPim. Once the transfer completes (the transfer
progress bar is shown in the bottom-left of the BitPim window), you will see the two files
    in the contents of /mmc1/jas/content.

13 Disconnect the USB data cable from your phone, turn off your phone, then turn it back
on. Once restarted, your phone will have the new ringtone, app, or game installed.

I hope this post will be helpfull for y'all!!!
any questions or comments, please let me know!
    P.S.
if anyone is interested in the step by step for the Samsung SPH-a920
i'll be glad in help you out!!!
