I have been doing some searching my self into this as well. come this saturday I will be getting a glyde also and really wanna put my own ringtones and pics on the phone my self through the computer. What I understand is supposedly BitPim does work on the Glyde but for sure I dont know. You can also look for a program called "QPST EFS Explorer". I hear this works but cant really tell you until after Saturday hahaha. If I do get something to work I'll let you know what does.

look, you can make your own ringtones, put them on the phone. they should be in the my sounds folder, send them to someone you know who has verizon (if you have unlimited verizon to verizon text then this is FREE), have that person send it right back to you. NOW save it as a ringtone. voila! done.

this is what i do, i just send them to my wife and she sends it back...we both get em for free.

    you're welcome.

Well, after a week of owning this phone, I decided to dump it and go with the LG Voyager instead. I can honestly say that the Glyde is the worst phone I have owned so far. Just using the phone for ANYTHING is a major chore. The touch screen is extremely difficult and frustrating to use. Try dialing a phone number on the touchscreen. You'll have about a 90% failure rate. If anyone is thinking of going with this phone, I strongly urge you to compare this to the Voyager. It's like night and day. I have always been a LG fanatic and own no less than 7 LG phones. This was my first (and last) Samsung. I really wanted so bad to like my Glyde, but it resisted me very badly. By the way, I have ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES with my Voyager when using Bitpim. Life's Good

Sorry to hear you don't like the phone. I have had it 4 days now and no issues with it yet. Yes it does take a bit getting use to with the touch screen but i have no complaints as of yet.
and to answer the ringtone issue. QPST works just fine putting ringtones on the phone.

Also to juggalo77 yes you can do that but some times it has failed to get to me. I would rather hook it up to my computer and put a tone directly on my phone without having to send them back and forth to friends. I put a average MP3 song in its entire length on the phone and used it as a ringtone not just a 20 second clip. I guess to each his/her own when finding the easiest way is best for every individual. QPST is my pick though.

does anyone else with this phone have an issue with the touch screen sometimes? it malfunctions and when you press one button, a totally different button goes off, making it impossible to use.
    ?

also, i am thinking about getting a memory card for my phone.. however i would just use it to keep music on my phone. can i transfer music with a usb cord and avoid getting the memory card? or is it smarter to just get the card?
