Omnia NOT global???

I was planning to make the switch from AT&T to Verizon, and purchase the Omnia. Now I found out that Verizon changed their mind and did not make it a "global" phone...Does anyone know anything about this, and if I can make it work in Europe?

I was not aware that this was supposed to be a global phone. CDMA providers like Verizon only have a limited number of global phones which would have 900/1800 GSM for overseas together with 850/1900 CDMA for NA.

As it stands today, you will not be able to use the OMNIA in Europe, sorry
