Would anyone happen to know how many songs the rant can hold with a memory card installed? I have 7 and it seemed to stop loading... is that the limit?

I think you just answered your own question:
    7 mp3 files will fit on a 32mb card.
BTW, memory cards are generally not built in, but removeable.

I have way more than 7 songs on my rant! I have 39 and still have a bunch of memory left.

Maybe this is the problem: Your memory card not only holds your music, but it also saves your pictures and videos. A lot of pictures and videos could take up your whole memory card. So here's what you can do:

You can delete a bunch of unwanted photos/videos, or save them to your computer by copying the items to your computer while the USB cable or memory card is inserted.

OR You can save them to your phone. Here's how you do this:

    1. Go to tools and select Number 6: mass storage
    2. Select Number 2: File Manager
    3. Select number 2: Memory Card
    4. Select DCIM
    5. Select 100SSMED
    6. Click 'Options'
    7. Go down to Number 7: Move
    8. Select the items you wish to move
    9. Select Done
    10. Select Phone
    11. Select DCIM
    12. Select 100SSMED
    13. Then select Paste.

and that should transfer it to your phone. To view how much storage you're taking up on your phone or memory card, go to Tool > Mass Storage > memory Info. then select what you want to view.

    Hope this helped
