I have a Samsung SGH-E250 that my wife bought online a while back. This phone has gone through my entire family because nobody wants to use it. Most of the time it says no service or limited service. It does work, but very rare. My phone spent the night outside in the rain last night, sooooo, I have pulled out this green paper weight (yeah its green) since I don’t have much of a phone budget at this time. I called Samsung for help and when I provided the IMEI #, I was told this was a non-U.S. phone and no customer service was available. Is there anyway to make this phone work? To reset it? I don’t know very much on the technical side of things with phones, so please don’t lose me with a lot of tech talk. My provider is AT&T if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I'm going to try and keep this simple. AT&T's network uses both the 850MHz and 1900MHz bands, but unfortunately the phone you have does not support the 850Mhz band. It works on the 1900MHz band, but depending on where you live that band might be used only for capacity issues and thus isn't the dominant or best built part of the network. You have to get an unlocked quad-band phone or a phone sold by AT&T. Nothing you do will make the current phone you have work any better.

Well not what I wanted to hear but thanks for the info. Was driving me nuts as to why it would work sometimes and not others.
