Samsung s5230 tocco star problems...

I have had my SAMSUNG S5230 Star for a couple weeks now and have run into a few problems.

1. When I press MENU>WIDGETS it goes back to the main screen, it won’t work.

2. I can’t access my phone on my PC anymore; I have the newest PC Studio installed. The phone icon appears but when I click on it the loading icon runs until it times out and says “Reconnect the device and restart the program.” It used to work fine, I deleted a music video I had uploaded to my phone and tried to access it again and that’s when this error came.

3. The radio doesn’t work without headphones plugged in.

I've reinstalled NPS many times and deleted the drivers etc...


Also the main thing is that I want to install some games an programs on my phone but can't unless I connect to the internet or can install stuff on the phone's main memory... but I don't know how to connect to the internet through usb, my bluetooth on my computer isn't working at the moment and I have 16gb extra memory in my phone and am looking for some way to install programs on my phone!!! ahhh frustration.

So many problems? I think you'd better go to the service provider and tell them all the problems. The technics there must be very helpful.

I can't go to the service provider, I baught the phone off of amazon, with no contract, unlocked, not branded. Plus a live in Germany and they do things a lot differently than in the states.

Dont know if this is much help to you but I have the same Phone and when i click on Widgets in the main Menu nothing happens to mine either.

If touch the Widgets on the screen though they open fine,, also my Radio wont work either without the Headphones in,, I think you will find that the Headphones act as the Aerial..

Sorry I cant help you with the PC Suite,, I just installed mine and touch wood works fine. Are you sure when you say you have reinstalled it, that you got rid of the old installation off your PC completely?

I installed a different firmware which got rid of the main issue of accessing the phone to install programs. I have s5230xiie2 now, it allows the user to easily install java prgrams with a few clicks from jad or jar files... but it doesn't have the same converter program I liked or extra widget menus I had on the other firmware. Before I had s5230xxih.

The headset and widget problems are the same I guess regardless of the firmware.

There are a few issues with this version, bluetooth wouldn't pair but I was able to pair with a different phone and then the headphones were able to pair as well after that. I don't know what why it wasn't pairing with my headphones to begin with anyway but it works now... there is no converter software for weight,currency, speed etc. Some other small annoying things as well and no extra widget menu...
