Samsung Highlight won't start up anymorre

Last night I removed my sim card to show my girlfriend what it looked like. Then after I re-inserted it, the phone wouldn't start up. it would show that it was starting up then once it got to the point where it should show the menu and such it cuts to black and just cycles over and over again. the sim card is in the phone and fits properly. any ideas?
