@ character on Samsung T301G keyboard?

Ok, I give up how do I input a @ on the Samsung T 301G keyboard in text mode?

Took me several hours but seem to finally figured it out. Very little info on this that I could find.
This is for the Tracfone T301G

1) Go to Menu....then "Messages"
2) After creating message...click to send
3) Type first part of email address as "yahoo"
4) Then hold down # key until a small box appears
5) In the box will see Numbers 1-9 with different characters
6) @ is is number 6....click 6 then click OK and finish by adding com
