Dear Cpf
I promised my self that I'll never ever have anything with foxconn to do again!
Lately I have fallen in love with GS3 but as far as I'm informed than Samsung and Foxconn are partners!
--------------------------------------------
Does any1 know if Samsung is planning to cut all ties to Foxconn or are they planning to continue working with 'em?
Thanks in advance

Re: Samsung and Foxconn?
Samsung was in the news recently because of the working conditions at Foxconn. They apparently are going to put a cap on the monthly overtime that is allowed, but it doesn't seem like Samsung is going to pull out any time soon.

Re: Samsung and Foxconn?
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Apple.
In regards to Samsung, do you avoid every company that has products that were made with bad working conditions? Do you shop at Wal-Mart? I think most things made there are made in factories with bad working conditions.

Re: Samsung and Foxconn?
First of all, I need to express my deepest gratitude,, special thanks goes to tavenger5 & avenue for contributing to the discussion (even tho I faked up, a bit) but also for running this site. Besides I send a thanks to the rest of the forum personal. I work a lot & I know how precious time can be, furthermore I been blogging a lot & I know how it can eat once life away such that life becomes: work, blog n sleep. Your time and effort is deeply, profoundly, severely appreciated. THANK YOU VER MUCH ladies and gentleman. <hand on the heart>
Ill also send a quick thanks to anyone that have read this thread, especially to those that have read it all but had nothing to say..
Second of all, I need to apologize for any distress that I have caused so far and for any distress that yet might come! It was not my intention to flame even I did, at my second post. It is not an excuse but I was drunk. Never the less everything that Ive said so far stands! I do hate apple but I wont be inflicting damage on their stores anymore! I only did it once out of frustration. If they cut all ties to foxconn Ill buy macAir & if apple becomes proudly made in USA Ill be buying as many of their products as I could afford besides Ill be offering some time end effort to hype about em, where ever whenever I can. Even tho I oughta live with iTunes. Im SO sick n tired of iTunes, grrrrrrr..
In regards to: In regards to Samsung, do you avoid every company that has products that were made with bad working conditions? Do you shop at Wal-Mart? I think most things made there are made in factories with bad working conditions.
Quite frankly I never really thought about it before. I dont wear jewelry so perhaps thats why I consider my phone as some sort of a jewel cuz its personal. When I heard about the net at the foxconn on the news, my iPhone really felt like an blood diamond.
Im from Wonderful Copenhagen & I dont shop at Wal-Mart, but when that said I own: Samsung TV (I got it for free, still no excuse), Acer laptop, Gaggia espresso machine (perhaps made in China) Trust wireless keyboard & mouse, TrustFire multifunctional charger, some Panasonic rechargeable cells, Santano remote power switches & bunch of stuff from DXdotCOM, Tiger store (Danish design Chinese manufacture) and some tools from Harald Nyborg (a Danish multi store, where most of the stuff is made in China)
Furniture & Kitchenware are European design made in EU (except Charles Eames chair, which is American, should be made in USA) Design doesnt come cheap but it never loses value IF YOU BUY IT AT AUCTIONS. Which I do, furthermore Im always willing to sell it for the right prize such that Im always buying n selling. Not sure if this practice is possible in USA. Regardless it costs a lots of time & I understand if peps bother the faff n effort! Rest of the electronics are Bose & once I can afford it Ill but a Bose TV its gone take me AT LEAST 4 years
I must underline that it's not my intention to make anyone feel bad about 'em self nor is my intention to brag about my furniture or whatever, I don't have that much and so far in my life I been working very hard to earn my living. I'm 32 and I study electro-engineering and life is tough economically (but things are relative Denmark has very high standards compared to the rest of the world) & if I for whatever reason fail this project, I wouldn't bother fight no longer.
Once again I apologize for any distress that I have caused and for any distress that yet might come, I'm a very controversial person & I'm planing to stay active on this forum hopefully until the end of days.
Furthermore I apologize for "oceans" of text, I just felt an urge to explain my self.
Thanks for letting me stay here

Re: Samsung and Foxconn?
Well I think that I have found a foxconn free lapTop, Fujitsu LifeBook T580 it ain't cheap, 1.5k$ for a 10.1 inch,,,
I'll oughta save for some month to be able to afford it, but there's no other way around,,, for me..
Not all Fujitsu products are absolutely foxconn free, never the less Fujitsu is the company that has the least to do with foxconn & they should be rewarded for that...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, all I need is a phone,,,
Is Nokia and/or Motorola and/or Blackberry foxconn free, any1?

Re: Samsung and Foxconn?
I have a Fujitsu mini-split heat pump and I'm happy with it.
In regards to purchasing these products, I don't feel we're supporting bad working conditions. If the cost of the products were 20% higher, with better working conditions, we would probably still purchase. So, these manufacturers should have their products made with better working conditions. If we like the products, we will still purchase them.
