In your opinion, which is a better phone between the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Samsung Note II, and why do you think it's a better phone? I'll be buying a new phone soon, but I can't decide which I would rather have!

They are both good phones, Sammie_Jo. However, the Samsung Note can do a few things that the Galaxy cannot, so if you're in need of those features, the Note will be a better fit for you. Namely, I'm talking about the fact that you can write/draw notes/pictures with the Samsung Note, hence it's name. If you're a scribbler that always carries a notepad with you everywhere you go, I think you'll like the Note more so than the Galaxy S III.

I think it would depend on if you're looking for more of a tablet or a phone. If you want to have a bigger screen, the Samsung Galaxy Note II would probably be the better choice. If you want a smaller screen, but still big enough to watch some movies, the Samsung Galaxy S III might be a good choice.

Personally, I would probably be happy with the Samsung Galaxy S III. I already have a tablet and I don't think I need a phone with a screen as large as the Samsung Note II.

How much of a difference is there in the screen size between the Galaxy III and the Note II? Doesn't the Galaxy III have almost a 5" screen? If the Note II is much bigger than that, then it might be too big, at least for me.

The Samsung Galaxy S III has a 4.8" screen, and the Samsung Galaxy Note II has a 5.5" screen.

Whoa! I had no idea the Note II had a screen larger than 5". If the screen size is 5.5", the entire phone must be about 6" in length, right? That's getting too close to a tablet for me.

I didn't realize there was that much difference between the screen sizes. I actually kind of like the idea of having a screen that large, because I recently found out about Amazon's Kindle app and I'd like to have a phone with a screen large enough to read on.

I'm really not sure what I would choose. Earlier I said I'd prefer the Samsung Galaxy S III because I already have a tablet. And that would probably still be my choice, but if I did not have a tablet, I might prefer to put the money into one device instead of having two. That way the device can have 3G access on the go and can also make calls. Currently my Android tablet (Nexus 7) doesn't get Internet when away from WiFi.

Both phones are good. But in my opinion you should buy Samsung Galaxy Note II .Samsung has gone slimmer and more sophisticated with Galaxy Note II .The 5.5 inches AMOLED HD screen takes quality and experience to an all new height while the 3100 mAh battery gives you ample number of hours of talk-time and standby time. Recently I bought T-mobile galaxy note II Black from cellhub . white colour it is also available. I liked this phone most and impressed with its features. I paid just $289.99 for it. Samsung has gone slimmer and more sophisticated with Galaxy Note II which is like a fresh of breath air to the gadget-obsessed youth.I think its worthy to buy it.

I think I would choose the Note II if I also wanted a tablet, since I don't already have one. For some reason though, I've never had any desire to own a tablet. Of course, taking size out of the equation, the two have fairly similar features otherwise, so I might still be persuaded to buy the Note II if I could get a killer deal on it and buy it for way less than the Galaxy III. If I could save a lot of money on the purchase, I'd be willing to deal with the larger size.
