Backup Data
Note: the Samsung Gravity Q is not capable of backing up applications.
Backing up Contacts:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Tap "More"
- Press "Copy contacts"
- Select "Phone to SIM" and tap "Select All"
- Touch "Copy". Note: the SIM card stores limited contact information, so keep in mind that certain contact details could be lost!
- Tap "Yes" to confirm
Backing Up Media & Pictures:
- Connect your smartphone to your computer using the USB cable that has been provided alongside your device
- In the AutoPlay window on your PC, click on "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Double-click the "Phone" folder
- Navigate to and select the folder that contains the files you wish to back up
- Copy the desired files from your device and paste them on your computer
- Once you're done copying your files, safely disconnect your smartphone from your PC
Restore Data
Restoring Contacts:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Press "More"
- Tap "Copy contacts". Note: this feature will only appear if you have at least 1 contact entry saved on your SIM card
- Tap "SIM to Phone" and press "Select All"
- Tap "Copy"
Restoring Media & Pictures:
- Connect your smartphone to your PC via the USB cable that came with your handset
- On your computer's screen, click on "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- In the Windows Explorer window, double-click the "Phone" folder
- Copy the media files that have been backed up on your PC
- Paste them in the desired folder on the "Phone"
- Once the copying process is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from your computer
