suggestions to buy new cell phone

Hello,
I'd like to buy a new cell phone but my knowledge about current technologies on the market is zero (I am still living with the same cell phone I bought 10 years ago).

My budget is around 150-300 euros (= 200-400$), and I'd like to buy a cell phone with at least the following features (but more features are very welcome):

- Connect to internet: browse webpages, read/write emails and so on...
- store mp3 and listen to them
- store any other kind of data
- read/write documents (.doc or .pdf, or whatever)
- possibly download more applications.
