The successor to the very popular T68 series has finally been released. The recently announced T610 offers everything the T68 series does with the additional benefits of a new look with a metal body, a bigger, brighter screen, and a built in camera. Additionally, the GPRS download speed has been increased by 33%.
And unlike the old T68, the T610 will support downloadable games designed for both Java and the Mophun platforms.
Sean and I got a chance to play around with a number of them at CeBIT, and we were both really impressed. This really looks like it could be a big seller for the struggling Sony Ericsson.
Here are some specs of the T610:
Triband GSM (900/1800/1900)
Dimensions: 102mm x 44mm x 19mm, Weight: 95g
Color Display with 65536 colors and 128x160 pixel resolution
Standby time: 315 hours, Talk time: 14 hours
Aluminum body
Bluetooth, IrDA
Camera built-in
12 icon graphic desktop
2MB of dynamic memory
Email client
Java and Mophun Games
GPRS 4+1
Multimedia messaging (MMS)
Polyphonic Sound with 32 Voices
PC/Server Synchronization
Themes
WAP 2.0 browser
Music DJ
A bit square looking!

yeah, ive had my t610 for about 2 weeks now! i have 2 say, its a very good fone compared to other camera fones out at the moment! i fink its the smallest camera fone at da moment! lol! neway, there r sum cons about it as follows:
2mb memory? dats nothing comapred 2 7250i wiv 5mb!
the reception is always bad no matter where u r!
no loudspeaker!
the picture size is to small comapred 2 7650 which has 640x340!
its kinda hard 2 use comapred 2 nokia's!
der isnt any good software for it like logomanger for nokia's!
shudve had a zoom facility!
finally, its a block! lol! no design! no curves or nefin!
neways, i still own the T610 becuase i like 2 be diff! lol! 2 many ppl got nokia's now-a-days! Ive been wivout a fone for about half a year now so i had 2 get one cos me was gettin a headahce to choose wiv 1, ervry month a new 1 came out! more headake! lol!
overall, this fones keeps me amazed! its got the main features i wanted in a fone but if it had the features above, xcellent fone!

It's true...
... The reception on the T610/T616 is pretty bad. I've had it for 2 weeks now, and I keep getting erratic performance outta it. The reception bar keeps jumping up and down like crazy.
Other than that, its a sweet, sweet phone...

My reception bar keeps going up and down too... but it doesn't seem to mean losing signal at all... maybe 1 bar is actually pretty strong? I haven't had any dropped calls yet...

Same here! Lovin' the T610, and I agree that the 2MB is way too less! Good thing I just got a USB Bluetooth dongle, I just transfer pics and stuff I don't need/use anymore to my PC, to free up some memory, and to get some nice MIDI's to the phone of zourse
