Hi folks. I just purchased an unlocked V800 Vondaphone Sony and am using my Cingular sim in it. Phone works great but I'm having problems finding the info I need to get the phone to work with Cingular's media net, or in short, to get the phone to work so I can surf the web. Can someone refer me to some resource or info that might give me the directions on how to get the internet part to work?

    Many thanks ahead of time.

are you sure that's the correct phone model?

    try the Cingular handset configurator

Yep, that is the correct model. Since it's a non US model, it's not listed in the configurator. Any ideas otherwise? I figure it's some sort of configuration or setting I just need to put into the phone. I have seen this model phone (someone else's) that worked but I didn't know the person so I don't have access to the settings.

folks with the Pebl usually use the Razr settings, so in your case just use a similar model.

Tony: I wanted to report back in and let you know I used the configurator and found a phone which was similiar to mine. I used the settings and was able to get my phone on Media Net. So now it surfs the web, and I can send and receive email as well. Many thanks for your help!

    Howdy Dlai,

Just in case the topic comes up again, which phone's settings did you end up using that came close to your Sony V800?

Glad you got it working as well.
