W580i and SE PC Suite Problems

Just got my new w580i and I downloaded the PC Suite software from Sony Ericsson. I installed it fine no probs but when I connect my cellphone to my pc via the usb cable it seems to be detected but when I open up the suite software I can't transfer any file to the phone under phone mode, the phone memory folder and the memory stick folder don't show up anywhere . I don't know what the problem is so anyhelp is appreciated! Thanks.

I have the exact same problem. It aggravates me to no extent. If you have the manual for the phone still it says on page 52 how to do stuff without the software.

Might want to try to install USB flash drivers. Read this post it has a link for the Gordon Gate program.

Hi i recently installed PC Suit 4.0- bla bla bla, when i connect the mobile my pc detects and works when i try to see contacts, calender, or any other stuffs of the mobile thru pcsuite the hardware is removed automatically and restarts again for detecting the hardware and then again installs. Its a hell of a problem.

I tried a 3rd party sync software named MOBILEdit that's great, expect if i sync it duplicated the data in mobile of the outlook.

any one had and rectified this problem please reply me.
