News: Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update available for Rogers Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, that is available through Rogers Canada, now has an Android upgrade available. The current version is Android 2.3.2 Gingerbread and the new upgrade that is available is the Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, which will bring the Facebook integration to your Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc.

With this Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread update, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc users will now be able to see their Facebook photos, sync Facebook contacts, share music and sync Facebook events with your Xperia Arc calendar.

Not only will you get the Facebook integration with the update, but you will notice that the battery performance is better as well as improvements in the stability for Wi-Fi and will have improved HD video recording.

The update is an over-the-air update and as with any OTA updates, this may happen in stages as to where it may take a little while for everyone to receive the update. Your phone should notify you of the update.
