Blocking Calls:
While the latest Android OS versions offer the possibility to block calls from a specific number, the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact's proprietary user interface doesn't offer this possibility.
However, you can still block calls from unwanted or unknown contacts, with the help of various applications such as "Call Blocker" or similar apps. They usually offer password protection and tons of options for blocking purposes.
To block all incoming or outgoing calls without the use of apps:
- Go to the "Settings" menu
- Tap "Call settings"
- Tap "Call Barring" and select an option
- Enter a password and tap "Enable" (NOTE: you are required to enter a password if this is the first time you enable call blocking)

- Tap "Enable"
Forwarding Some Calls Only (Conditional):
- While viewing any of the home screens, tap the "Applications" icon
- Go to "Settings" and tap "Call settings" under "Device"
- Scroll to, and tap "Call forwarding"
- Choose one of the following options:
- Forward when busy
- Forward when unanswered
- Forward when unreachable
- Enter the phone number to which the calls will be forwarded to, or tap "Contacts" and select a number from your contacts list
