Using a Google Account:
NOTE: Using a Google account you can sync the contacts on the Xperia Z1s, and then sync the account data with the Xperia Z5 to transfer your contacts.
- Sign in with your Google account on the Xperia Z1s
- Press Menu
- Go to Settings and tap My Accounts
- Select Google and tap your email address or user name
- Enable Sync Contacts and tap Sync Now
- Switch to the Xperia Z5 and register the same Google account, then set it to sync contacts with your device
Using the Contacts Application:
NOTE: Contacts can also be transferred by exporting them on the Xperia Z1s using the Contacts app, transfer the backup file to the Xperia Z5 manually or via email, and import the files contents using the default Contacts application.
- Launch Phone on the Xperia Z1s
- Access the Contacts tab
- Tap Menu and select Export contacts
- Select the contacts you want to export or tap Mark all
- Tap Backup > Add contacts
- Once you have created the backup file, start a new email and attach the file
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Xperia Z5 and open the email to download the file
- Launch Contacts on the Xperia Z5
- Tap menu > Import contacts and select the location where the vCard file has been downloaded from the email
- Add the vCard files contents to your phonebook
NOTE: Alternatively, after you create the vCard file on the Xperia Z1s, you can connect both smartphones to your computer via USB, and manually transfer the file to the Xperia Z5 storage and skip the email part.
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Contacts can be transferred by using third party apps as well. Send Anywhere is an app that uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files from one phone to another.
- Visit the Google Play Store and install Send Anywhere on both devices
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send on the Xperia Z1s
- Tap Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method. Tap Receive on the Xperia Z5 to enter the transfer code from the Z1s, or tap Generate QR Code on the Z1s and scan the code with the Z5s camera to begin the transfer

Re: Transfer Contacts from an Xperia Z1s to a Sony Xperia Z5
Honestly, contact is very important files for us, so there are many ways to transfer contacts between two phone. There are 6 ways I know, such as Google Backup,Bluetooth,SHAREit, T-Mobile Content Transfer, AT&T-Mobile Transfer. There is another one that I know recently, MobiKin Transfer for Mobile. If you want to change your new phone, this is a very good tool because it can help transfer almost all the files with simple clicks.
