Hey ppl, I have a T300 and i want to know how to delete the original Pics & Ringtones to free up memory, I have 3 other Tones i put in that I do not want to get rid of though...is it possible to just get rid of the ones Ericsson provided?...If so, how?...

And also, What is a good Midi editor I can use so i can shorten my full length midi files?...

    Thx in advance.

you can't delete the pre defined but the rest just delete it... you wont get any problem..you can use midi editor..and upload it on your phone wap cable or whatever source..

I tried it...It got rid of the tones and pics, but I think it still takes up the memory. If i was to master reset the phone , the defualt pics and tones would come back so that proves that the memory is still taken up from the missing SE stuff otherwise where would the stuff stay hidden?...I could be wrong though but i see no other logic...

13 second trick should free up space - all the settings, pics etc. are kept in a kind of storage firmware, when you boot or MR it is loaded into regular memory.

i have tried everythin to free up space for what sounds like exactly the same reasons (as i too am lookin for something that will shorten the midi files)

the only things i have found that can be deleted that came with the phone are the games which i never use anyway..

i have resorted to not using the camera any more, not recording any sounds (as i get charged shatloads for MMS anyway) and deleting all MMS messages that i get sent to me - only way to do it i've found, but i'll be keeping a firm eye here in case anything pops up!

The memory is really pitiful... you cant use the mca-25 attachment properly if you've got extra games, sounds and wallpapers. Maybe it's just me being petty but you're paying enuff for the to atleast warrant a decent amount of space + the ability to delete alot of the predefined junk that does come with the phone.

Yup, the 13sec trick. It works just fine!! I won't describe it here cos I'm not 100% sure how I did it, in simple words it involved resetting factory defaults and interrupting the procedure twice or something! Check the sony-ericsson-related forums.

    Howto do 13 Seconds trick:

First go to setting > Master Reset > Reset All
It will ask you if you want to continue
    Say Yes
    Enter Phone Lock Code (0000)
And hit the counter till you are @ 13 seconds > Remove The Battery cap exact at that moment and turn your phone on after a minute or so
And you have deleted all your crap !

    Good luck
