When living in the mid west a friend of mine boasted about QUEST. At the time i had Cingular and it wasn't great, on its best day. After my friend boasting about how great Quest was i finally got it myself. I then moved to Maine shortly after that (three months or so) and was upset that i couldnt take my service with me. Come to find out Quest (at that time) was actually Sprint in discguise. Apparently it was a sub name but all the phones they offered had Sprint twins and the plans were the same. I was overjoyed that once i got to Maine id be able to get this awsome service back. I went to a Radio Shack sub retailer and got both a cell phone and a Wi-Fi card for my lap top.

Sprints signal in both Arizona proved both consistent and reliable and the customer service has been nothing but stellar anytime i call no matter WHAT i call about.

On September 1 i was saddened to have to downgrade my Blackberry to a less expensive plan and phone due to budget reasons. A friend of mine also on Sprint had a Rant that wasnt even three weeks old and she was more then happy to do an even swap with me. We spoke with Ron that afternoon at Sprint tech support who was more then happy to assist us in the ESN swap. He was confident, knowledgable, and more then personable. It didn't take him five minutes to do it. We spoke with him via a landline with both phones in front of us as he reprogramed them. Presto, the swap was done.

On the Rant i checked email twice which i forgot was no longer on my plan since i didnt have the blackberry and then saw on my online Sprint.com account usage watcher that i'd incured a charge of $11.46 cents in checking my email. Phoned customer service and asked for sure if that's what had brought on the charge just to make sure it wasn't anything else. The rep i spoke with , "Derek" not only confirmed that's what it was but was "more then happy to credit that charge." Can you believe that? I told him i wasn't looking for that to be removed but simply verifying what i'd done. His response was "We'd rather not have it on your bill at all sir. We think you shouldn't have to pay it and look at it as a random mistake. Things happen, sir,"

Needless to say ill be with Sprint for many years to come. Thier strong CDMA 3G signal is serving me well, as is thier customer service team. I marvel at those who tell Sprint horror stories. The myth they suck is just that, a myth!

So you swaped phones with a sprint user yes? Do you know if I can get a at&t phone to work on sprints network? Its a HP iPAQ 6500 and it used to have at&t service. I have the sprint service witch I am happy with but just dont like this instinct I have. Is this swap posable or not?

No, this swap is not possible. Too totally different technologies. Sprint is CDMA while AT&T is GSM.

Jo_795, that is so true! LOL, Esp with some companies <cough cough> Sprint <cough> lol

    Re: Sprint Myth

I have a total different experience and I would not recomment Sprint at all - I purchase a Galaxy phone 3 months ago and have had only problem with it. The worst part is that Sprint customer service is horrible, their customer support is not very helpful I still can't get or send emails from my phone... Stay away from this phone and this carrier not worth the aggrevation!
