Amazon has the new Galaxy Note II for $139 on a new contract (Sprint). If I port my Sprint# to T-mobile's no contract plan how long would I need to stay with T-Mobile before I could go back to Sprint as new Account? My intentions are to take advangage of the discounted phone price and keep my number. The upgrade price at Amazon is $249. Thanks

Well, if you sign a 2 year contract with t-mobile and break it before the contract is up (regardless if you are going to t-mobile pre-paid or not) then you'll have to pay an early termination fee (ETF). How much it is depends on how far into the contract you are, but I'm guessing it's going to be more than the $100 difference anyway.

I would be bringing my own device to T-Mobile so I was thinking I could activate it without a contract. Thanks.

Re: Porting number from Sprint to T-Mobile and back
I wouldn't mind signing a new contract with Sprint. I have Sprint now and I'm out of contract. The upgrade price for the Galaxy Note II is 249. A New activation is 139. I thought maybe I could take my # to T-Mobile (if I can activate a phone I have with no contract) for a period of time. Then come back to Sprint as a new customer and port my#. Now that I think about it, I didn't factor in activation fee's.

I understand what your saying bud, and you should be able to do so with in a day or 2. The port request is normally given an ETA of 24-48 hours IIRC, but its usually 2-4 hours.. I would give it a day and then Switch-Back, then just work out what you need to with T-Mobile. You may have alot more than you think though, so maybe going with Trac Phone or something may be a better option, so you dont have to pay a whole month, unless your willing to stick with T-Mobile for the month, then Switch-Back to Sprint.
