Ok, I just need help to understand what will happen if......
I have a v360 I hate it!! A friend I work with recently upgraded with tmo and they actually double shipped her order and also double billed her, so she shipped all back to them and got credit on her account. However about 2 wks later they shipped again. If I were to purchase this phone (green pebl) from her at a steal what would happend if I put my sim in the phone? and if they bill her again and she disputes ever recieving can T-mo track the phone and cut off my service? any ideas thoughts or suggestions.

She won't be bill again because you using the phone she received.
There's no way T-mobile can track the phone down and cut off the service.
If that is the case, I think we will see lot more of return of lost cell phones and less of stolen cell phones.

ok so when you say change my cell phone information you mean register the phone?
also thanks because when she called the first time because they did bill her the c/s rep stated that they would and could track the phones once they were activated with sim card.

What they do care about is that you keep your account long enough to pay for the phone you got when you opened the account.

Re: Help will T-mo kill my phone
They can track the imei... so they can see what imei you are using but they cannot legitamely cut off your phone. If they actively persued it (which they havent ever and probably wouldn't ever) then they would have to press charges to be able to do anything about it. The imei number is nothing more than a serial number like a VIN # on a car. The sim # is like an account number and is also for the most part the memory of your phone. They won't bother you about it..
