My brother has just bought himself a Tomtom700 for xmas.
It has bluetooth handsfree mobile phone compatibility.
He currently uses a NK1100 which suits his needs perfectly on the OVP-Virgin
tariff (his usual bill is about £3)
Now he wants a bluetooth compatible phone. I looked on
http://www.2ndhandmobilephones.co.uk/ and the 6310 is the cheapest, BUT it
isn't on Tomtom's list of 'compatible phones'.
I presume that all bluetooth's are compatible, but would like some sort of
confirmation.
TIA

Have a look in the forums at www.mytomtomgo.com under the section for
"mobile phones" - its possible it may actually work "handsfree" if nothing
else. Six months after getting my 700 my K750i finally works with my tom
tom.

Chances are because Nokia, in their wisdom, made it obsolete about
eight months ago.
Seems it was not only the most popular phone they have ever made -
adored by business users as it has a 500 directory, so everyone hung
on to them and Nokia comsequently were loosing out on sales of
replacements..

Are you saying that it will be compatible, but coz it's no longer available,
that's why it's not on the list?

One thing: to be certain of full Bluetooth compatibility it will need
to have V 5.50 software or higher (*#0000# to display.) Most Nokia
agents can still do the upgrade for a small fee.
And 'hundreds' in use? Try hundreds of thousands if not millions.
