Hi Guys
Could I ask anybody using Orange GPRS on PAYG confirm if you must use
the PAYG APN of "payginternet" or can you also use the contract APN of
"Orangeinternet" ?
Does it actually matter which you use ?
Any help much appreciated.

I have always used Orangeinternet without issue.
I didn't even know about payginternet.

On PAYG ?

The "payginternet" APN is listed on quite a few sites and previous
usenet posts for PAYG access whereas "orangeinternet" is listed for
Contract/PM.
I use the latter with no trouble on my PM account and have
just tried "payginternet" but got a "Subscribe to GPRS first"
on the N6230 I was using.
Many thanks

It used to be the case that PAYG users had to use "paygwap" and
"payginternet", but they can now use "orangeinternet" and "orangewap" now
too.
Between PAYG and contract, "orangeinternet" and "orangewap" both behave
differently. In my experience, the contract and PAYG connections get
assigned IPs in different address ranges, and the PAYG sessions get
dropped after an hour of use, whereas on contract the session keeps going
until you disconnect or lose the signal.

I use orangeinternet on PAYG. I connect and remain connected for many
hours.
