How much in advance do I need to terminate Orange contract so that itfinishes on a certain date?

Hello,

I have a Orange Racoon 15 SIM only plan, which I started a few months
ago and which I would like to end since I will move away from the UK.
My billing period always runs from the 8th to the 7th of each month.
Ideally, I would like to keep the contract until 30 September, and
have PAYG from 1 October (or possibly to a contract without monthly
minimum payments).

How do I achieve this? I see that there is a 30 day notice period for
termination in the T&C, but it is not clear whether the contract can
be terminated on any day, or only to the end of the billing period.
Also, no mention is made what to do if I want to convert to PAYG.

Finally, I would also consider moving to another network if I can keep
my number. Are there any contracts out there without monthly minimum
payments?

If you want to convert to PAYG you ask for that when ringing up to give
your notice.
