When the 'Network operator time' in my Nokia E65 is changed from 'off' to
'Auto-update' it says 'Retrieving local time' but the phone's time is not
updated even though the phone appears to be able to receive a good signal.
I have not managed to use 'Network operator time' since upgrading to the
latest firmware a few days ago.
The problem occurs with both a Virgin and a Vodafone SIM.
Can anyone offer an explanation or solution to this problem.

Michael,
Did this ever work? I've got different model phones but I've never once
seen any of them manage to reset their clocks from the network time (on
Vodafone).

It certainly adjusted when I move between time zones by going abroad.
However, according to one post that I read on a Nokia website forum, that is
all that it is supposed to be able to do. The instruction manual would
suggest otherwise, though it is not very clear.

In the UK the time only updates when your phone attatches or connects
to the GPRS network. If the phone's packet data setting is set to
"always online" (rather than "when needed"), and a 'G' is displayed
the time should update.
Note only Orange and Vodafone support time updating.
