At the moment these free laptops that can be purchased have a monthly
download limit. Do you think anyone would ever offer a deal with unlimited
download limits such as the ones offered with broadband via your telephone
line?

Even the telephone landline based boradband offers usually have FUP limits.
Admittitly higher, but there still there... I guess it's possible or indeed
likely that in time the limits on the mobile broadband will increase... but
don't hold your breath, it may not be for a while

I still don't see why a laptop should have a download limit. A broadband
connection might, but a laptop wouldn't???

I'm still no wiser: "Laptop offer has expired".
Perhaps you would like to start again with some context. Maybe you're
talking about a broadband package that has a severe download limit but
instead tries to sweeten the deal with a "free" laptop?

They probably will in time, but not for a few years yet. Mobile networks
dont have the capacity.
