Info: Unhappy US Cell customer

you do know that verizon bought altel. so altel is now verizon.has been for about a month or so now.

Thanks Hunter7773....I think its been 6 months or more, but I heard Alltel may not change their name in the 68601 area due to some Fed Reg's..... I need to contact Verizon and see, but their web site responded that they do not serve our area based on our zip and Alltel knows nothing about changing their name and have a total of 2 choices for free phones with a new or extended contract which is not worth buying out my contract for $150

Have you heard of straight talk? Are they available in your area? They are available at wal mart. They recently added a couple of phones, I have the samsung R451C, ia cost 100.00, they also have a samsung touch screen phone you can order online. I switched from using a blackberry curve on the very expensive verizon plan to the samsung phone I now have. If straight talk is available in your area, it is very economical and I have not had anytrouble at all with mine. My savings for the 8 months I have been using straight talk is over 800.00 compared to the same plan with verizon. This srevice is unlimited talking,texting and browsing and 411 calls are also free.

Hey Sue52..... I have not heard of them, but will check out our local WM....

You can also look them up online. Some of the Wal Marts carry a better selecton of phones than others.
