Good news the new n-gage 3 due out in G4 2005 will use the OMAP 2 processor that had advanced 3D hardware technology from imagination technologies: Power VX MBX 3D. This will make its graphics better than the PS2 console (so I'm told). WOW mobile phones with powerful gaming technology. I also heard the new n-gage may be called n-gage MBX.

Yes I am a fan of the n-gage QD - have over 200 games on my MMC

Cool, finally some news on the new N-gage.

However, i doubt that it would have 3D graphics even close to PSP let alone PS2. Maybe in the future, say, a few years time... but not now. PSP's graphics is superb, not as good as PS2 obviously but very good nonetheless. This is also due to the big screen on the PSP.

And if Nokia were to put PSP's (or PS2's in this case) graphics into a phone with a limited sized screen and colours, it would not be a good strategic move for Nokia. Not to mention, PSP is a machine built specially for high processing gaming, while N-gage is a phone, and if u were to have that kind of processing speed of that of the PSP in the N-gage, it's gonna lag a lot and the UI would be extremely slow.

It would be great if Nokia releases an N-gage with graphics of that in the PSP/PS2, but i just can't see it happening now. However, i'm not saying N-gages graphics is bad, cuz it's great for a phone and i like u, can't wait to see what Nokia puts in it's new N-gage

You are right, but in terms of pure graphics capabilities (despite limitation) it is supposed to be comparable. Will get more details soon.

    Cheers
    happy gaming
