I know this board is mainly for midi, but i couldn't figure out where else to ask this, besides spamming it on every single phone manufacturer forum...

I'm looking for a new phone at the end of the month, and i'm trying to do my research now.

Here's what i'm looking for in a phone:
-can send/receive calls (tri-mode if possible)
-can make your own mp3 (or mp3-quality) ringtones and send them to your phone.

I've found BitPim, but that seems to only work for LG phones...

So the LG VX6000 is on my list now.

Are there any others that i should be aware of, and does it cost anything to send the ringtones to them?

NEC e313, 616 and most of the new NEC series support MP3 playing. You need the cable though.

The new SE's (k700i) have mp3 playback and "music dj" to create your own (midi) ringtones. What 3 bands do you need? The k700i has 900, 1900, 1800. (2 European and 1 North American)
