Cingular has new updated sims cards if you have a old one, they are free you just need to go to closest store for a updated one (The old ones are 32K new ones are 64K) I really don't know what that means but they are suppost to work better.

More memory for storing data on the SIM. It doesn't increase reception for the phone. It is said that they handle switching between towers better. Meaning they can better hand off to other towers to provide the strongest continuous singnal.

The new sims card handle switching better, they also can inprove signal stringth in some cases. The hbest feature to the new sim cards is that they hold more data. If you are having problems with your phone it is better to turn your phone off and let it rest for ten seconds, then turn it back on. this will inturn let your phone update. the only wya they can update is by restarting. so it is recomended to power off and power back on atleast every two weeks.
