Hi all. I just signed up for this forum since I saw a lot of useful info on here.

I am not sure if this question is welcomed on here.. but I'll ask anyway..

I wanna learn to unlock phone.. not like go pay and buy unlock codes kinda unlock.. but actually hack and figure out how to unlock like new let's say vodafone's phone... Does anyone know any great websites, tutorials, forums regarding such topics?

You can google cell phone forums, or google the phone you want to unlock and look in the cell forums. Thats I found this place.

If it is a nokia try http://unlock.nokiafree.org
If it is something else try a google search for "your phone model" and "unlock" as the parameters.
Some providers will unlock your phone for you after a certain time period, such as 90 days. Call and ask.
This forum doesn't allow the passing on of unlock codes. BTW, don't give your ESN or IMEI in public places to get a code. Bad JuJu!
If it is a GSM phone unlocking may be useful. If it is CDMA pretty much don't bother.

there are software and hardware devices for starting your own unlocking service. i saw about 100 of them by doing a google search. expect to shell out some money to get all the needed equipment.

Yeaaa I have been doing some research..
I am looking at the Furious Box II from the Furious Team right now.. but it's 300 USD!!! O.O

ouch! but you could recoup that investment if you can get some unlocking business! he he.

Any business requires an initial investment. Let's say you charge $5/unlock=60 to break even. @$10/unlock=30 to break even. If you are good, honest and fair, you can probably pick up plenty of business here as long as you don't violate the user agreement and forum rules.
