    Hello,
I hope this is not a wrong place to post this but...

I think that CELL PHONE CAMERAS SHOULD BE BANNED. A few weeks ago I was travelling by bus at night. There was a man next to me (across the aisle) who was acting strange and kept looking at me. I thought that he might be a robber. But wasn't sure.. So I tried to keep awake that night to see what he was up to. By 2 a.m. I was starting to feel drowsy and my eyes were drooping. Then suddenly I woke up and opened my eyes and saw this man with his cell phone pointed at me. Just then the bus stopped and he ran out of the bus. I am 99% sure that HE WAS TAKING A PICTURE OF ME!!!! But at times I think it might be a dream. But his cell phone was pointed at me and the cell phone's light was blinking like the blink you get when you take a picture!!!

So I am 99% sure that he WAS taking a picture of me.

I have no idea why somebody would want my picture but now that someone has my picture I can't stop thinking about it. Who knows what he's doing with my picture now!!!!!! I hope people will understand what I must be feeling now and help ban cell phone cameras which can be used in inappropriate ways!!! :I apologize if this is the wrong forum or place to post this on!!!!!

Fair enough. However, you must also realize that there is currently in production lots of small camera devices. They even make a digital camera in a zippo lighter, and a pen/pencil.

Weirdos are everywhere, and they will always find a way to get what they want. Assuming you weren't naked, I don't know what he would do with your picture.

Most likely it will be on the Internet. I was watching t.v. about a club and websites where guys take pictures of girls secretly and post it up on the Internet.

I even saw this on Halloween in Santa Barbara on State St. There were lots of sexy girls there and I saw one guy taking of me secretly because I was wearing a Ghostbusters custome (and I am a guy!). When I was at a restaurant, there was one girl wearing tiny shorts and some guy walk in, took a picture, and walk out.

I think something that would be helpful is a light on the front of the phone that's on when the camera is active. My sister's old Sanyo PM-8200 had this red light on the front of it that stuck out when the camera was on.
What's my girlfriend doing in your five?

Banning them isn't the answer. They're here and here they'll stay. It sucks that people can take random pictures, but honestly if you're out public, you do forfeit some privacy. Now if someone were taking pictures of you in your home, that's different. So yeah, it sucks but we have to live with it.

Yeah, somebody could use many small devices to gain pictures of you.

I've gotten pictures of many random people while site seeing using a regular camera never intentionally, but it happens. I've found that in dark places that most phones take poor quality pictures anyway. I love taking quick pictures of my kids and friends and sending them to others I know without the use of a computer.

    Re: Cell phone camera ban

Banning them is a little extreme.
I personally don't like being in random pictures, but it's good for when you're with friends and want a quick picture of whatever's happening.
If u don't like it, don't use it.
