Hello everyone - I'm in need of someone who understands these Pantech C300's!

I bought a data cable online, a MYBAT. I followed everything as said - install with CD, reboot, plug in USB cable, once that is recognized, plug in phone. I get NOTHING! I don't understand - tried to uninstall & reinstall, but same thing, which is nothing! Can anyone please help me?

update : I found the usb connected through device manager listed on COM3 and it says it's working, but I have no clue how to go from my phone to comp & vice versa! I've read there's a program called Pantech Sync PG32XX but I'm not sure what that is & if it's safe to download if I find it.... anyone have any input?
