*EDIT* Sorry, I meant "Crooked" not "Crooke" Providers. . *EDIT COMPLETE*

I've got two questions, the first would be in regards to a music phone.

I usually have never been one to look for 'neat extras' in a phone. It's for communication, make calls and send texts. Well, recently I've been getting a little interested in the 'neat extras.'

I just signed up for Verizon a week ago, and the nice thing is I have the 30 day trial thing. I'm finding that they are Nazis. I don't like them. I have a Samsung GLEAM. It's a piece of crap.

Nationwide calling is wonderful, would I be paying an arm and a leg to get that from other providers? I don't want to pay $1,000,000 a minute for being in a different state than my native. What I would like to use my phone for, other than talking and texting, is music.

I love music, but it's either I get a cell phone with some music playing capabilities (and a headphone jack, speaker phones are obnoxious), or just get an mp3 player and wait a while to get a cell phone. It'd be nicer to just get a cell phone now, for communication reasons. I don't need a 60gig Ipod or Zune. I don't like Ipods anyway.

I guess my main question is, from experience from you guys, what is the best company to go with without having to fight tooth and nail to get some damn songs on my phone without downloading or paying for some stupid program like V-Cast. It's $2 to download one damn song on that, and it's really too much of a pain in the ass for me to convert all of my mp3s to .wma. They disabled the mp3 player on the Gleam because of V-Cast. Bull.

One other question, is what's the least crooked cell phone service provider? I've looked up how stupid cell phone companies are. In some cases, selling our call and text information to private bureaus, and charging for things that people don't order. I don't like Verizon even after using it for a week, and everywhere I look saids AT&T is creepy. Cellular one seems like the only company that's not trying to entirely dick you over. Everywhere I look I see people complaining about service and stuff, and people retorting with "if you don't like it, don't buy it. No one's forcing you to."

I guess it stinks because it works both ways. If people pay for it, they have a right to complain. If they don't want it, or hate it that much, they shouldn't pay for it. It's frustrating because it seems in today's society, cell phones are starting to become a necessity, not already are one. I want one because I don't own a LAN-line, and am hard to get a hold of unless I keep one.

Simply, a phone that I can upload music to, play it, make calls, and make texts fine. I'm willing to pay a little upward of $60-70 for service if need be for nationwide. I don't know what to look for when it comes to reviews. I don't like video reviews because they talk about things that I really don't care about when it comes to the phone. There's so many reviews on so many phones that I don't know where to start.

I just don't want to be an uneducated consumer, letting the companies stomp all over me. Listening to other people's experiences and such are the best ways to learn. What are some of yours?

I just looked up the company Helio and have been pretty impressed so far. Anyone else have experience with them? They look they best to me because #1: They're newer. #2: They look more Euro in company style.

I don't know entirely though, someones gotta yell at more or something. I need people to argue here! Heh.

Never mind, I've decided on Helio. I'm getting the Helio Ocean.

Sorry to take up forum space. You can delete this topic if you like, or still just say what your experiences are with companies ripping you off, or what praises you have for companies.
