Here's something that I've never thought of. A phone that does specific things, like alert you when you're supposed to prey, or blocks objectionable content.

An article in Computer World today lists details on these religious phones:

"Religious devotees around the world enjoy expressing their faith with customized cell phones, which may play religious ring tones; carry scriptures; or provide guidance, content filtering and other services specific to each religion. These phones are customized and marketed directly to religious communities in various parts of the world."

Here's the list:

• No. 3: The Jewish cell phone - The 'kosher phone' only sends and receives calls, no more.
• No. 2: The Muslim cell phone - Alerts users when to prey, a 'call to prayer'
• No. 1: The Buddhist cell phone - a highly modified Nokia N70, Buddhist ringtones, music, video, and 12 sutras, is gold plated, and has jade jewels for some buttons.
