What size microSD cards are considered average? 1gb? 2gb?
Also, is there a special type of microSD card for cell phones or are they all the same?

Re: MicroSD cards
I need MicroSD cards for all 3 of our phones (LG Shine, Sony 580i, and Razr2 V9) all from AT&T. I just checked the instruction booklets and none of them say a specific size for the card.

Re: MicroSD cards
Thanks very much for the help - are there any recommended brands? What's better Kingston or Sandisk?

Re: MicroSD cards
from my knowledge, the W580 can use a 8GB
Deals I know of on Micro SD are as follows:
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Most people are using a 2GB.. but all depends on how much your putting on itLast edited by Ellen; 07-25-2008 at 02:05 PM. Reason: Removed advertisment.

Re: MicroSD cards
From what I know, SanDisk has the fastest microSD(HC) cards. Any card >=4GB counts a microSDHC, by the way. HC standing for high capacity. Not all phones that take microSD take microSDHC.
Don't think about what's average size, think about how you'll use it and your budget

Re: MicroSD cards
As long as you know the size limit that your phone allows, then microSD is microSD. I have purchased 2 microSD cards off of Meritline.com and they seem to always have excellent prices. I have seen them recently offerring a 4GB microSD card for $17.99 with free shipping.....it's a brand called a-data, but I've had an a-data card in my EnV for the last two years and it works perfectly!

Re: MicroSD cards
Hey, i have a 2gig one in my sidekick, and it allows me to have about 480 songs with a bit of space left over for pictures. In my area radio shack has some 2 gig micro sd cards with the adapters to make into a regular sd card on clearance for 20 bucks.
