    Re: prepaid phones question

you can use any phone as a prepaid phone.

    GSM... has to be unlocked.

CDMA.. may not work on all providers.

edit: all features on the phone may not work though.

Verizon will not activate any other providers phones, so if you did want to use another providers phone, you would have to find a way to activate it yourself, which isn't an easy thing to do. You would also have to flash the phone that you were going to use from another provider to work with Verizon, which isn't recommended for beginners.....
ohh, its because wen i log into my prepaid account with verison, theres a link tht says if i want to change my phone, n wen i click it, all it tells me is to type the DEC number of the new phone, n im assuming after tht it will b activatd. this is wht is says,
    Change Your Prepay Phone,
Enter your new ESN/MEID and reason for change below to activate your phone.

    Finding your ESN/MEID:

    * Remove the cover and battery from the back of your phone
    * Find the phone's serial number.
