I've read many specialized reviews about each of the following phones on multiple sites, but hardly any mention the quality of the sound output, and some don't even discuss minor features. I'm interested in buying one of the following phones, but I wish to know which of them has the best quality of sound, which, in your opinion, has the best general features (including minor features), and which is the best combination of the two. If possible, I'd also like to know about the quality of their displays/touchscreens and their usability, but the quality of the sound and the features are my primary concerns.

    1) HTC Touch HD.
    2) LG KC910 Renoir.
    3) Sony Ericsson X1.
    4) Samsung Pixon.
    5) Samsung Omnia.
    6) LG Viewty KU990.
    7) BlackBerry Storm.

Which of these are 'smart phones'/which run on Windows Mobile? This, too, is an important question.

The iPhone is useless, and I'm not considering it. The phones above are my options.

I'd like to thank you in advance for any assistance you could provide.

I am really sorry you feel that way. I'll try to help you, a little bit.

Re: Sound quality and general features.

What wireless network do you have? You should attempt to stay with the same wireless network in which you have, don't switch just because you like another network's phone.

I am only familiar with the Blackberry Storm, Samsung Omnia (USA), and the HTC Touch HD. The other phones I have never had the opportunity to play with. This is also probably the dilemma for other users trying to help you. People are usually only familiar with a select few devices, not the entire wireless market of phones.

Usually, call quality is more determined by the wireless carrier you are using. GSM carriers tend to have choppy call quality due to the way the radio waves travel. This means that carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile are not known for the best call quality. Sound quality as in songs playing, the Blackberry Storm would definitely take that one.

Also, the Blackberry Storm is considered to be the worlds first "multimedia" Blackberry device. This means that it is capable of streaming live internet music and nice, clear, crisp videos. I am a Storm fan. Its new style of touch will take a while to get use to, but I like it.

The Samsung Omnia is Wi-Fi. This means that if you don't have good wireless carrier internet at your house, you can use Wi-Fi to use internet (if you have it) or by going to a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Both the Omnia and Blackberry Storm will require a data plan of $29.99 per month + calling plan. They both require the use of the Verizon Wireless Network.

That's really all I can help you with. Sorry.
