Hi everyone im brand new here. I didnt even think a forum for cell phones existed but on a whim i decided to search and look what i found! An amazing web site. A few details about me. Im 23, live in Sacramento. Obsessed with cars. Going to school to be a car designer and a screenwriter. I have a T Mobile wing which i am dying to read up on! I bet you guys can do some pretty crazy things with it, its amazing! So why am i here?


I cant spill many beans. I have an invention that i believe in so strongly, that i literally cant sleep anymore. If you didnt notice, im posting this at 507am. Im hoping someone can helo me out with an aspect of my project. I need to figure out how to trigger something using a cell phone. Much like a bomb lol but not a bomb. So basically, i text the phone, the phones on vibrate, but instead of sending power to the motor, it goes to trigger something.


Please help me guys im new to all of this. I am buiding a prototype for now, and i was planning on using a Trac fone lol sense theyre cheap, they text, and they vibrate. Please help me!

Welcome to the forums!

Instead of relying on the vibration of the phone, why not hard wire to something like the speaker output?



or... most phones have a headphone jack - if you can figure out how to get a signal from the jack into a relay, then that'll have the same effect.

Good points i guess it really doesnt matter, just get a signal to a relay! FBI agents can review my patant applications lol!!!!!
