Still no official pictures of the Microsoft Zune or the when it will be officially announced, Microsoft, in a way, has confirmed the Zune phone existence.

Microsoft released an update for the Zune software (v. 4.2.202.0) in which a file, Zune.inf has been associated with the devices of the Zune driver. Within this inf file lies what appears to be not one, but three different hardware ID's for the Zune phone.

I wouldn't say "confirmed" until Microsoft officially confirms it. As of now, their position is that they aren't making a phone.

This could just be the precursor to Zune-WinMo7 integration, which would be found on third-party WinMo phones.
