Lat week,I accidently dropped my phone in the toilet, my phone suddenly vibrated and stopped. I took the battery out and kept it in sunlight for 3 days. When I put the battery back in it doesn't worked fine. Any advice please?

Did it get shi**y reception after you fished it out?

    (Sorry... Couldn't resist.)

I had that happen to a client of mine. Dropped his Blackberry in the toilet. I opened it up, rinsed it out well with water, then let it air dry in front of a fan for a couple of days. That was six months back, and he's still using it. I think the key is to get to it immediately. Either get it cleaned up right then, or at least get the battery out to prevent electrolyisis between exposed traces and such. I got to his within a few minutes.

If it's been three days for yours, I suspect that whatever damage is already done. Have you got insurance on it without a prohibitive deductible?

Let me just ask, what kind of mobile phone do you have? This incident is really common nowadays. If your phone doesn't worked fine, maybe you should bring it to an expert technician.

I am looking for a LG Dare VX9700. I really like this phone due to some of its excellent features which includes built-in 3.2 megapixel still and video camera that automatically adapts to low or unevenly distributed light for better quality pictures, GPS navigation system (VZ Navigator), and a built-in MP3 digital music player. It has just a weight of 107.7 g and a talktime of 4.66 hours and active standby time of 15 days.
