I would love to rent the hottest new phones on the market.

very good idea.. and if the casing have scratches and all, you can simply replace or charge the cost of replacing it..

I don't think there is any yet but as for the cost, no definite idea on how much it would cost but it would certainly be cheaper than a plan from a carrier otherwise it would defeat the purpose and would be pointless to go for this option rather than just getting a plan especially that the phone will never be yours anyway.

I was saying that if they did not have insurance and broke it, it would be full price
Obviously if they had insurance it would be a different story.

    Another question.
A problem I see is people stealing the phone and not being able to charge them.
Solution: Charge full price at the beginning of term, and credit customers back after they have returned the phone.
    What do you guys think?

Yes a full price equivalent of the phone as security deposit sounds like a way around that problem but the thing is most people that will be renting a phone are those who do not have that much money to spend in one go that's why they have opted for the option of renting. Just a thought....

Well it maybe true but if you notice how technology changes, you will not really stick to a plan for a phone that you will have to keep for 2 years. 2years ago, nokia is the hottest cell phone in the market but it was change when iPhone came and Android came. So I guess there is some advantage in renting a phone that committing to a 2 year plan.
