If you are thinking about getting a Huawei Ascend G300, you may want to look into learning how to save battery life. This Huawei smartphone does not have a tiny screen and it does not have a large battery. The battery in this handset is rated for 1500 mAh of power. Compare that with the 3300 mAh of power in a Droid Razr HD and you can see that the G300 is not going to last for long if you use it a lot.

So, what can you do to make that battery last longer? One is to do the unthinkable. This may not work for everyone, but if you can just leave the smartphone turned off for longer periods, it will not need to be charged as much. This is a common sense strategy, but no doubt works on any smartphone, not just the Huawei Ascend G300. If that is not an option, the next best power saver is to take a look into the menus of the operating system. This is not a Samsung phone with AMOLED technology. It comes with the older LCD variety screen that uses more power than AMOLED. But this smartphone is just a little computer and there are luminosity ( brightness ) settings that can be adjusted. If you do not want to run through the menus every time you want to turn down the screen, there are apps that will tell you what things are using the most battery power. You can use them to tell what things besides the screen are using the most battery power. This could come in handy on a bright sunny day when you can not turn down the screen.

Other things a Huawei Ascend G300 owner can do is to watch those social networks. If the smartphone is set to check updates at a frequent rate, it will of course use more battery juice. If you are one of those who is absolutely addicted to Facebook, Twitter or other social networks, you will not like this tip. Turn down the amount of checking the G300 does during any given hour and you will be recharging the smartphone less. It makes sense to do the same with the email. If the smartphone is steadily checking if a new email is arriving, it will use the processor to do so. This of course uses more battery power. Refrain from checking the email box and enjoy longer battery life.

Wi-Fi and bluetooth are popular features for smartphones and the Huawei Ascend G300 has been given some of the better ones. The Wi-Fi direct is the ability to connect with a nearby device without having to go through a 3G or 4G tower. But it can be turned off to save energy from the battery. The Wi-Fi hotspot can be kept from broadcasting as well. Do not forget the bluetooth. All of the radios can be turned down, which also helps in keeping the smartphone more secure.

Since there is no dual core processor for the G300 handset, it therefore runs the one gigahertz processor at full speed whenever it is used. When taking a photo, watching a video, whatever is happening, the processor runs at the same speed. There are a few things you can do with ringtones that will help save battery life. Choose short ringtones instead of long ones. Also, try to avoid using the vibrate option because of the way smartphones vibrate. They use a small motor with an asymmetrical weight. Motors are not so good for batteries as can be witnessed by the relatively short amount of miles an electric car can travel. Try using the silent mode when possible.
