Transferring Contacts via iTunes:

Using iTunes you can sync the contacts saved on your iPhone with your Google account. Synced contacts will include the contact's image, email address, home address and any other contact notes available. For this method you are required to have access to iTunes through a computer connected to the Internet.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer and connect the iPhone to it via USB
  2. Once the iPhone connects, it will appear in iTunes. Click it to go to the smartphone's summary page
  3. Click the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  4. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  5. Enter your Google account and password if you haven't done so before. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and select an existing account
  6. Click "Apply" to begin the syncing process
  7. Once that's done, register the same Google account used in iTunes, on the OPPO Find 7a (NOTE: if necessary, go to "Settings" > "Accounts")
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android smartphone

Transferring Contacts via iCloud:

If you have previously used iCloud on your iPhone, then your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing the account via a computer with Internet access, you can export the contacts in the form of a vCard file which can then be imported on the OPPO device. To do so:

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your PC
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and click "Contacts"
  4. From the list, select the contacts that you wish to export
  5. Click the icon depicting a cog wheel, and select "Export vCard"
  6. Wait for the file to be downloaded on your computer
  7. Import the vCard file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, skip this step and follow the next one instead:
  8. Connect the OPPO Find 7a to your computer via USB and copy the "vCard" file to the "sdcard" directory. Launch the contacts application and use the "Import" function to locate and import the VCF file's contents to your phonebook

Using "My Contacts Backup" to Transfer Contacts:

In case you wish to transfer your contacts without accessing a computer, you can use certain third party applications such as "My Contacts Backup" in order to share them. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up the contacts on your iPhone, and send them to an Android smartphone via email. To use this approach:

  1. Launch the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the application and tap "Backup"
  3. Once the backup file has been created, tap "Email" and attach it to a new email
  4. Send the email with the attachment to your own Gmail address
  5. Open the email on the OPPO Find 7a and download the attached vCard file
  6. Import the file's contents to your phonebook, using the contacts application and the "Import" function

Transferring Contacts through "Send Anywhere":

Another application (for both iOS and Android) that can be used for contact transfer without needing a computer is "Send Anywhere". The app uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other file types from one smartphone to another, even cross-platform. To use this method:

  1. Install "Send Anywhere" on the OPPO Find 7a via the Play Store
  2. From the App Store, download the app on your iPhone too
  3. Once you've installed the app on both devices, open it
  4. From the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Select the contacts that you wish to share and tap "Send"
  6. Select a method of file transfer, such as "Generate QR Code". This allows you to create a code which can be scanned with the OPPO smartphone's camera in order to commence the transfer. You can also tap "Receive" on the Find 7 and type in the transfer code from the iPhone
