Back Up Application Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Access “Settings”
- Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
- Tap to enable “Back up my data” in order to back up Wi-Fi passwords and account data to your Google account
- To restore app data upon reinstalling apps, turn on “Automatic restore”
NOTE: App data will be automatically restored upon logging in with your Google account for the first time on a new phone, or on a device that was just factory reset.
Back Up Contacts:
- Open the apps drawer
- Access “Settings”
- Swipe to “Accounts” and select an account to sync your contacts to
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method will be restored automatically the next time you sing in with your Google account on the phone (such as after a factory reset).
Back up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the ZTE Grand X2 to your computer via USB
- Drag the “Notification” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
- On the computer, open an Explorer window and locate the media files on your smartphone
- Copy the files, and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the ZTE Grand X2 to your computer via USB
- Make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
- On the computer, launch an Explorer window and locate the media files backed up on your computer
- Copy the files, and transfer them back on your phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB
