Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the ZTE Axon to your computer via USB
- On the phone, swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)”
- Open an Explorer window on the computer and locate the desired audio files
- Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Alarms” / “Notifications” folders under the “Media” directory
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and disconnect the device from the USB connector
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap “Sound & notification” and tap the “Gear” icon associated with your current audio profile
- Select a ringtone and tap “OK”
- Optionally, tap to turn “Vibrate” On or Off
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts that are located on the phone’s internal storage or the SIM card.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Tap the contact you want to edit
- Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the “Settings” menu
- Tap “Sound & notification”
- Tap the “Gear” icon associated with your current audio profile
- Tap “Default Notification Sound” and select the desired notification sound
- Press “OK” to confirm
