Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Asus ZenFone Go to your computer via USB
- Drag the “Status” bar down on the home screen
- Ensure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
- Launch the File Explorer on the PC
- Locate the desired audio files on your computer
- Copy the audio files you wish to use for ringtones, and transfer them in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories on the phone
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
- Tap “Sound” under “Device”
- Scroll to “Call Ringtones & vibrate”, tap “Phone ringtone”
- Select the ringtone you wish to use
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones to contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone”
- Choose a ringtone and tap “OK”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notifications”
- Tap “Default Notification Sound” under “Sound”
- Tap the desired notification
- Tap “OK” to confirm and save changes
